About

Dr. Kimberly castillo, OD

Dr. Castillo is a California native who studied optometry at Western University of Health Sciences. She currently owns a private practice where she offers a large variety of services ranging from primary care optometry, RF/IPL, amniotic membranes, specialty contact lenses, vision therapy, glaucoma management, and much more. Dr. Castillo is also an assistant adjunct clinical professor for the Pacific College of Optometry, giving her the opportunity to educate students all day. This biography not only underscores her expertise but also her empathy towards aspiring optometrists facing the NBEO Part II challenge.

The journey towards creating this invaluable resource began with Dr. Castillo’s personal struggle to pass the NBEO Part II. Despite using all the study materials available to her, she had two unsuccessful attempts to pass the exam. Feeling defeated, Dr. Castillo turned to her mother for support. Her mother provided inspiration by suggesting that Dr. Castillo write the study book she wished she had. Thus, the NBEO Part II Study Guide was born, a comprehensive compendium of knowledge meticulously curated to provide you with the tools Dr. Castillo wished she had during her own preparation.

Dr. Castillo acknowledges that every student has a unique learning style. That’s why she launched a companion website to her
NBEO Part II Study Guide that caters to diverse learning styles. This website includes a Video Book of Dr. Castillo’s Study Guide to help the visual and auditory learners. For those who want more interactive studying, this website also contains flashcards, practice questions, and practice exams that emulate the real exam environment. With this holistic approach, Dr. Castillo’s mission is clear: to empower students with the resources they need to conquer the NBEO Part II with unwavering confidence.
